About

About the Word Welders, the Pros of Prose!

The Word Welders are a small but mighty group of local writers located in Southwest Virginia. This site has been put together in order to give us a platform to share our writing tidbits, stories, poetry and the like. We hope you enjoy what you find here, and as always, constructive feedback is more than welcome.

As you look around, you may find prose from many sources. Therefore, there really is no telling what type of writing you will encounter on any given day. We will do our best to tag and categorize everything is some way as to make sense to visitors.

We may at times post parts or beginnings of a story for example, asking for feedback as to whether it seems worthy of more time and effort to complete. Don’t be shy, speak up, comment, let us know what you think!

Just who are these writers?

Well, let me tell you who we have writing and posting at this time, and a bit of an explanation of how our categories work. First, there are three writers currently contributing content to this site in the form of stories, poems, song lyrics, free writing, and pretty much any other way that we can find to put virtual pen to electronic paper.

The writers are (in alphabetical order):

  • D. D. Wolf
  • Ellen
  • Laz

Now, about the categories on the left side of the page. You will see a set of categories that first represent genres, like Sci-Fi, Fantasy, etc. But also, below that, you will see categories that represent each author. When a story is posted, it will be tagged with not only the authors name (category), but also the relevant genre. This means that you can use the category links to list all posts in a genre, and/or if you find a writer you like, you can list all posts by that particular author. Nice, huh? We try!

Thanks for visiting.
